Let’s Hear Your Stories

For the past three weeks, I have shared some stories with you from my world.  I would like to hear some of your stories.  Please leave a story for me about a time when you were proud to be doing what you do.  This is not limited to camp counselors, I invite stories from all fields.  I look forward to reading them!

There’s so many – you should give us a theme.

I could talk about the camper who used to cry when she hugged me goodbye. Every time.

Or the camper whose mother wrote to the camp director about how much I’d helped shape her life and make her a stronger person.

Or the one who came back to volunteer after she was too old.

Or the one who had five invitations to her high school graduation and made sure I was given one of them.

Or the camper who ended up coming back to work for me for four summer.

Or the camper who, 12 years later, was in my wedding.

For the quick people in the audience, yes that was the same person.

Good Idea – This Friday I will post the question again with a theme. Thanks.
