Adventure Based Behavior Management
February 29, 2008 — Josh Best
Adventure Based Behavior Management (ABBM) is an approach to interaction that is rooted in the group process. Group members are asked to take responsibility not only for their own actions, but for the actions of the entire group. ABBM is a community-based approach that relies on the interactions of the team and on specific, confidence building activities that allow for experience with social development and positive peer interaction. The Adventure Center offers a variety of ways for students to experience our Adventure Based Behavior Management program. We custom design programs that take place at your school or site for a half or full day. There are also programs that would allow you to utilize our low and high ropes course as well as our climbing tower.Camp Adventure, the summer camp program of The Adventure Center, offers a week-long experience for youth dealing with the challenges of ADD and ADHD. Our staff come from backgrounds in psychology, social work, and education. All are trained in how to weave the Adventure Based Behavior Management model into the traditional camp experience.

Thanks for the comment. I am not sure if you remember me from the internship that I did at PA, but it is good to see that you have found the blog. Hope to see some more comments coming from Project Adventure.
